Canegreen Moves from Tottenham to Hayes

At the end of June 2009 Canegreen moved from its old home in the heart of Tottenham in north London and moved into new premises next door to SSE London in Hayes, near Heathrow Airport

The move came about because of Tottenham Hotspur FC's imminent new stadium development on White Hart Lane. Spurs are creating a new 58,000 seater stadium on the current site and on surrounding land. The new development will include leisure facilities, shops and housing, as well as other facilities for the club.

It also means that Canegreen has had to vacate its warehouse and offices of some 22 years. So over the last weekend of June, 2009, Canegreen moved its operations to west London, in premises right next door to sister company, SSE London.

"We've carefully thought through our requirements  - a new concept for me - and could see the opportunity this presented to move in alongside SSE London and create combined, air conditioned offices and a reception, together with warehouse space to accommodate the requirements of our clients in London." says Canegreen's Yan Stile.

"Situated close to London Heathrow, we remain a stones throw from central London, yet only an hour's drive on the M40 to our Redditch HQ."

"It's nearly a year since our merger with SSE and this move is one of the final pieces in the jigsaw.  It's been a very eventful year for us at Canegreen, positioning us at the forefront of Meyer Hire specialists in Europe. We've doubled our stock of Milo and Mica and have invested considerable amounts in other Meyer support products. We now focus solely on the World renowned Meyer brand, knowing that collectively the SSE Audio Group can offer the best of all leading brands."

In another recent development, Green-i Ltd has been bought by SSE Audio Group, bringing the company's corporate events hire stock to the Hayes site, together with Green-i Director Andrew Frengley.  It also means the audio installations business of Green-i will become part of SSE London's operations.
