Since its formation by Yan Stile and Pete Edmonds in 1982, the name Canegreen has become synonymous with high quality pro-audio sound, leading the field in live sound reinforcement. The company has worked on tours, festivals, and one off concerts of all sizes.

It's also developed into the installations business, installing systems in many concert venues.

Canegreen’s Tottenham head office is a custom designed facility that includes an in-house testing and repair facility, extensive storage, logistics control for equipment and crew facilities.

In August 2008, Canegreen merged with the Redditch-based SSE Audio Group.  As part of this pre-eminent audio company, people and sound equipment are dispatched all over the globe to deliver excellent sound to millions of listeners every month.

Canegreen has worked on numerous prestigious projects with an inventory of equipment suited to artists performing all genres of music. Our proven track record has made us the preferred choice of PA supplier to many of the world freelance engineers and production managers, supplying tours ranging from Jay Z to Paul Weller, to Placebo, to Craig David.

Festivals including the Cambridge Folk Festival and the Tower of London Festivals which rely on our expertise in the outdoor environment. One off concerts such as the South African Freedom Day in Trafalgar Square and the Prince’s Trust Party in the Park at Hyde Park, London have also utilised our experience and expertise to provide audio solutions to match the demands of every situation.

We have also installed equipment into venues of all sizes, such as London’s Award Winning Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Canegreen's Equipment inventory is made up of all the current pro audio brands available for hire. Notably we were one of the first sound hire companies to own the Yamaha PM1D digital mixing console, then keeping up to date with the technology we have moved on to the PM5D and the Digidesign Venue and Profile systems, while being involved in M7 and the Midas XL8.
